Some nurses are attentive and give pain relief fairly quickly. Majority of the nurses do not. The night staff makes you wait u to 4 hours for pain relief. I was fitted with the wrong catheter and was made with the right size one. Some nurses were brilliant, caring and helpful. Others were ignorant and made me wait for pain relief. Others were plain nasty. Night staff can be lazy and ignore call buttons and say they are busy when they are not, others are lovely.
